It's Not Really About the Hair: The Honest Truth About Life, Love, and the Business of Beauty
It's Not Really About the Hair: The Honest Truth About Life, Love, and the Business of Beauty
Fans of the hit Bravo show Tabatha’s Salon Takeover tune in for the straight-shooting, unvarnished commentary of its ballsy, stylish, and savvy star. Though millions admire Tabatha Coffey’s unflinching honesty and never-say-die attitude, some do not and have even taken to name-calling. Refusing to let others define her, she has reclaimed the word “bitch,” transforming it to fit the person she is: Brave, Intelligent, Tenacious, Creative, and Honest.
In It’s Not Really About the Hair, this deeply private woman shares the experiences of her own life to encourage you to get in touch with your own inner bitch. Tabatha reveals how she used her strength and openness to help define her signature look, personal relationships, life choices, and tenacious work ethic—one that in her own words likens her to “a pit bull with a bone.” Here are the people and the circumstances that have led her to a place of honesty, self-assurance, satisfaction, and success—from her tough-minded mum to her famous mentors, her peers, and clients.
Part memoir, part business manual, and part coaching guide on achieving self-acceptance and love, It’s Not Really About the Hair teaches you that it’s all right to be who you are, stand up for what you believe in, and do what makes you happy without being defined by others.
Tabatha Coffey’s raw, funny, shocking, and always inspirational story will encourage you to celebrate the long-lasting and most important beauty of all—the true beauty that is you.

UNLIKE the USA where the SUPREME COURT allows insane ‘religious’ nuts to shout horrid insults at an US MARINEs burial…FRANCE, GERMANY, well IN many European countries, THAT IS HIGHLY ILLEGAL!

GALLIANO is going to trial…his Sunday fashion show (ITS FASHION WEEK IN PARIS) will most likely be a NO SHOW by anyone (who and the world wants to be photo’d there much less WEAR his clothes these days!)…and even ADDA DADA took ALL his GALLIANO photos off his FLICKR account in protest except one where I can express my disgust and protest. (It is of his store front, which probally has been boarded up by now)

Paris prosecutors on Wednesday ordered famed fashion designer John Galliano to stand trial in the coming months over alleged racial insults.

The trial could take place between April and June, and Galliano could face up to six months in prison and about $31,000 in fines if convicted, the prosecutors office said in a statement.
Capping a five-day whirlwind of scandal around the designer, the prosecutors said he will face allegations of "public insults based on the origin, religious affiliation, race or ethnicity" against three people.

Luxury fashions on Conduit Street. The dress in the window caught my eye, and it wasn’t until I went in the store and started looking that I realized 1) how unique the dress was (I already noticed the neat collar and shoulder of the piece and was wondering how it held its shape; 2) how interesting (and heavy) the texture of the dress was (so that’s how it held its shape, but would it be proper for summer???); 3) how *expensive* the dress was (If I remember correctly, it might have been ?3500 or maybe it was near ?4000 – but who’s really counting). Sigh. So I just had to settle with taking a picture of the beautiful dress. Doesn’t it look like the perfect thing to wear to a yacht party? (Now if only there were a yacht to party on… um, boss? :P) You can see the detail a bit on the white dress on the side of the picture… but it was the navy that caught my eye. Why does my eye have to be captured by such expensive things? (Oh right, I shouldn’t be walking in these areas if I didn’t want to get depressed).
